Andrew Otis, after 17 years with Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, which included a stint from 2014 to 2018 as not just the Chair of the environmental group but pretty much as the environmental group, recently joined Locke Lord as a partner in the firm’s environmental section of its Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Practice Group.

Vinson & Elkins LLP announced  that its associates would receive bonuses matching or in some cases exceeding those on the now-familiar scale established by Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP, which has remained the market standard for several BigLaw firms.

Associates who receive strong reviews or who logged an above-target numbers of hours, including work on pro bono matters, are eligible to receive between 1.1 and 1.35 times the standard class-level bonus amount.

Following the July 2017 departure of IP litigation partner Matt Pope, who was previously at Orrick for decades, fellow IP litigator Zheng (Jen) Liu leaves over a decade of tenure at Orrick to join Pope at virtual law firm Rimon, P.C.'s Palo Alto offfice as partner.

King & Spalding added former longtime Deutsche Bank AG general counsel and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement chief Richard Walker as a New York-based partner in the firm's special matters and government investigations group, the firm said Tuesday.
